What do you consider to be your BIGGEST STRENGTH as a Goalie?
One of my biggest strengths as a goalie is my ability to make plays both inside and outside of the net. I am a big supporter of goalies who can make big plays as well as interceptions and be like an eighth defender in times of need. My communication and trust with my defensive players at Ridge and T3 allow me to open up my opportunities to make big plays inside and outside of the net.
How/when did you decide to become a Goaltender/”Goalie”? : ”
I became a goalie guardian when I was a freshman because I realized that I wanted to strengthen my goal tending abilities. I had a list of goals that I wanted to accomplish in lacrosse such as becoming a better player and working towards a Division 1 scholarship and I felt that becoming a Guardian would help me achieve those goals.

How did your participation in GUARDIAN training and/or the NationalChampionship impact you as a Goaltender?
Being apart of Goal Guardians is like being apart of a family. In every session I was apart of I met great goalies from across the state. Meeting these players of all heights, with all different techniques, and different styles of play helped strengthen me as a player. Guardian gave me and the other goalies the opportunity to talk about our styles and help each other in areas of weakness. Although lacrosse is a competitive sport, the goalies at guardian are like a family and want each other to succeed.

In being able to compete and do very well in the national championship it helped prove to me that I have what it takes. It is nice to be recognized by the goalie and lacrosse community for all of your hard work. Ginny and the other coaches and shooters recognize everyones talents and work to put them on the pedestal. I admire Ginny’s dedication to the sport and the position.

What do you appreciate most about your defense?
I appreciate the trust I have with my defense. We all have the same understanding of what needs to be accomplished and always have each others backs when making plays. It is a team effort.
What is one of your favorite LAX moments? One of the worst?
My favorite lacrosse moment was winning the sectional finals against Ridgewood. I had an amazing game and was able to be apart of a team that made history for our school in girls lacrosse. My worst moment was loosing in the Group 4 sectional final after being down 6-0 and coming back to tie it our team still lost by one. Although a team effort it was sad to have a great season end.
Why did you choose Bucknell?
I chose Bucknell because it fits me both academically and athletically. The coaching  staff and team made me feel like apart of their family and I could see myself on the team. I know I can compete well in school and on the team and am happy to have my twin sister committed there with me.
Who’s the most influential person in your life?
The most influential person in my family on me is my twin sister Callie. Her and I do many things together and have played together since kindergarten. She knows my strengths and weaknesses and always looks to make me a better player.
People would be surprised that you are….?
If not knowing me, people would be surprised that I am only 5’1 because I play a lot bigger in the net.
FAVORITE MOVIE: The Heat
FAVORITE FAST FOOD: Chipotle (if that counts)
FAVORITE APP? Twitter
SUPERPOWER OF CHOICE: Teleportation
WHY DO YOU WEAR THE NUMBER THAT YOU WEAR? ANY SPECIAL MEANING?
I wear the number 13 because someone special and close to me has always worn it. They have had great success with that number and I wanted to carry it on. I have it written on the inside of my gloves along with a symbol that is close to me.
DO YOU HAVE ANY GAME DAY RITUALS?
On game days I listen to music before the games and as I walk to the net before the game begins i look at the cuffs on my gloves which have special symbols on them that I drew. It keeps me composed and focused.
A Question from GUARDIAN Jessica Gurrieri –
What is your favorite part of the game?
My favorite part of the game is the team aspect. I love the healthy competition it brings and the sense of family from my team
